Recently I decided I needed to change my facial products. For the past 10 years or more I have been a loyal user of the Clinique line — face soap, scrub, toner, lotions, potions, etc. They have don’t me well. they aren’t, however, super organic, and recently chemicals on my face have started to creep me out. So, instead of traipsing to a Sephora or a department store to restock, I decided to try some of the drugstore organic varieties.
Naturally my first stop of Burt’s Bees. I picked up the royal jelly eye cream and the carrot day cream and have been faithfully using them for the past two weeks.
I just can’t do it anymore. That carrot day cream is pretty horrible. It’s like an oily clay paste. It is sticky; it sits on the skin; it gives me pimples — and I rarely get pimples. The eye cream is ok. It seems like more water than cream and I am not sure it is doing much of anything for my eyes except for keeping that horrible carrot day cream away from them.
So, it is back to the store for another round. I determined I would try 3 different products before I completely gave up and went running back to my beloved Clinique. Speaking of Clinique, I should check their line just in case they decided to come out with a nice chemical-free organic line just for me.
